911 - 964 RSR 3,8, unique car with very very interesting history

THE ONE OND ONLY !!!

THIS UNIQUE 911 - 964 RSR started his life in 1989 as a pre production CARRERA 4 given / sold to the german race and ralley driver Klaus Treute by Roland Kussmaul and Jürgen Barth. Mr. Treute tested and used the car in 1990 and 1991 in the german Porsche Club races and some raod ralleys. He was very succesfull and had 2 class wins.

In Autum 1991 the car was sold to Wolfgang Mathai, the father of the Porsche racing driver Oliver Mathai. The car was given to KREMER RACING and a GROUP B 3,8 engine was build up on the orig crank case. In 1992 oliver Mathai raced the car in some Porsche Club races.

1993 Mathai had the car converted to 3,8 RSR widebody and had Carrera 4 lightweight 4 wheel drive and 961 race 4 wheel drive parts fitted which were provided by Jürgen Barth and Roland Kussmaul. Kussmaul and Barth helped the Mathai family and KADACH racing to develop the car. The car as well got 18 BBS rims and RSR spoiler kit as well as aluminium doors and aluminium bonnet. The engine was uprated again and now produced about 345 - 350 hp. Oliver Mathai raced in the FERRARI PORSCHE CHALLENGE and won 5 races. He ended up as the vice champion just behind the Ferrari F 40 of the finish guy Mr. Velden. He was in front of big names and well know racing drivers like Konrad, Schrey, Hezemans, Grimm and so on. In 1994 the car was raced in some races in the Ferrari Porsche Challenge again as well as some Porsche Club races and was allways a top runner. A high light in 1994 was the pole position in a VEEDOL endurance race on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring. The car was driven by Edgar Dören and was about 15 seconds quicker in the qualifing than Olaf Manthey in his Mercedes 190 DTM EVO.

Later the Mathai family gave the car to KADACH racing again to have it fully rebuild. Due to many races in the years 1989 till 1994 Kadach pushed the Mathai family to have the rebuild done on a new shell. Kadach than bought a brand new shell of a 3,8 RSR from the Weissach Motorsport department and has totaly build up the car again on that new shell. Since than the car has only done about 2100 km and only used for track days just for fun.

Latley the car was now transforemed from the 4 wheels drive system to a genuine 2 wheels drive like the factory supplied RSR cars were made. The group B 3,8 engine based on the orig crank case is still in the car. The bodywork is exactly 3,8 RSR ( aluminum bonnet and aluminium doors, fully welded in MATTER rollcage etc. ) based on the new shell bought of Porsche Motorsport. Almost everything is in extremly good order and almost new.

The car is road registered and comes with a german logbook as well the orig. ONS Wagenpass ( race logbook )

Great for Club racing, track days, future classic racing or youngtimer racing.
